Dear Parents/Guardians,
St Eunan’s NS will be closed until 1st February and we will move towards remote learning over this period. I understand that this is disappointing news and we would all rather be at school.
We are prioritising Seesaw as the forum to communicate and interact with students. The majority of our students are engaging extremely well with seesaw and it is an excellent resource. If you need any assistance with codes or information, please email
steunansns.raphoe@gmail.com. To gain access to your child’s worklist you must log on to seesaw on Monday 11th January 20201.
I will be contacting a small number of parents who have difficulty accessing seesaw and discussing alternative arrangements with them. If you would like to contact me over this period, you can email
steunansprincipal@gmail.com. I will be in the school from 10am to 4pm on Friday 8th January, so you can contact me on the school phone 0749145764 or the school mobile 0871141396
We will also continue to use Facebook as a means of keeping the students connected over the next few weeks.
I understand that some parents may want additional school books to support their child’s learning outside of the lessons the teachers will provide on seesaw. Schoolbooks will be available online and teachers can post pages of books on seesaw. At the moment with the extremely high figures, it is a risk to bring groups of people together for a book collection. However, if any parents feel it is essential that they get additional school books to support their child at this time, we will accommodate this in the safest way we can on Friday 8th January between 10am and 4pm. You can ring the school on this day and talk to myself or Mrs Mc Gahern.
A list of the teachers’ email addresses will be posted on Facebook tomorrow if you would like to contact any of the teachers in relation to school related issues over the next few weeks.
Well-being of our pupils and parents is extremely important to us at St Eunan’s NS. We understand that this is a challenge and appreciate that every home is very different. We also know that learning at home is very different to learning at school. We would ask families to do the best they can and assure parents and pupils that we do not expect every single activity to be completed.
We sincerely hope that everyone connected to St Eunan’s NS is well at this time and we want to reassure parents that we will work together and support each other over the coming weeks.
Yours sincerely,
Anita Keeve
